ABOUT
Suvi Tuominen (b.1989) is an artist, archaeologist and performer based in Helsinki, Finland. Her works operate in the extended fields of choreography, dance, performance, installation and live art. She works mostly in interdisciplinary and collaborative projects. For Suvi it is artistically important to ask what are the emergent relationships between various artistic methodologies, theoretical readings and structures of production. In this way, she wants to continuously challenge the notion that these fields in artistic works would somehow be separate from one another.
Suvi approaches her artistic processes with a messy, chaotic and playful attitude that might lead to unexpected trajectories and artistic outcomes. Recently Suvi has had a special interest in concepts such as time, withdrawnness, intimacy, orientation and aliens.
