About Suvi Tuominen identifies herself as artist, performer and archaeologist. In her recent research projects she has worked with practices of improvisational movement, somatics, writing, dancing with objects, listening, filming and photographing. Suvi’s research trajectories are usually described as playful, chaotic, messy and carnal. Suvi holds a master’s degree in archaeology from the University of Helsinki, a vocational degree in contemporary dance from North Karelia College, and is now finalizing a master’s degree in Live Art and Performance Studies at the University of Arts Helsinki.
