I am an artist, archaeologist and dancer based in Helsinki, Finland. At the moment I am interested in questions related to bodily archives, that is, the human body as an archive, the corporeal dimensions of materiality, and the intimacy between bodies, objects, spaces, landscapes, animals, insects and inanimate. My artistic works operate in interdisciplinary settings.
Currently I am studying at the University of Arts (Helsinki) in the Live Art and Performance Studies master's programme. In 2019 I completed a master's degree in archaeology. In my thesis I explored philosophical parallels between archaeology and the choreographic method. Click Unfinished Thoughts to read more about it. In 2017 I completed a vocational degree in Contemporary Dance. My earliest connection with dance and art, however, has been oriental dance and it still carries a strong part in my artistic works.
